Cricket: Fakhar Zaman records highest-ever score in ODIs while chasing

Pakistan is currently playing against South Africa in a 3-match ODI (One-Day International) series in South Africa.
In the second ODI of the series, Pakistani batsman Fakhar Zaman scored 193 runs off 155 balls. This is the highest-ever individual score in an ODI by a batsman while chasing a target. During his record-shattering spree, Zaman smashed 10 sixes and 18 boundaries.
The previous record was 185 runs, held by Australia’s Shane Watson.
However, despite the cricket record, Pakistan could not chase the 342-run target set by South Africa. They lost by 17 runs. The loss means that the series is now level, with one win each for both teams. The final ODI will be played on Wednesday.
Zaman was run out in the final 50th over but the dismissal was controversial. He was awarded the Player of the Match.
