Beauty from Brutality
It is a poem about an old man and his perspective on the world.
Beauty from Brutality
Today is a great day
birds are flying away
The kids are playing in the park
around the tree’s bark.
The dogs are barking
the owners are laughing
The treehouse is full of toys
the kids are playing in it with joy
This place is secluded from the city
where no one gives pity.
I am the old man lonely on the bench
I am the one looking at the trench
I am the one focusing on the little things
I am the one looking at the broken swings
The people there are rude
and others are shrewd
When I woke up from the dream
Then I realized the trench is the stream
dividing the park from the reality
beauty from brutality
