Every day is Earth day, not just 22nd April

“Mother Earth”

You must have come across this term many times. But the question is – “Is she really our mother?”

Well, yes, Mother Earth is the most important ‘part’ of our life. It is mother Earth who bears our weight, who bears us! She gives us plants, air to breathe, shelter, resources and what not!
In return, she asks only for one thing, to take care of her. Do we do this properly? Do we even try? Well, the answer is ‘NO’.

We all have been so busy in taking from the Earth that we have conveniently forgotten to do our bit for her! We just keep asking for more!

Do you know that we emit a whooping about 36 billion tons of CO2 every year? Due to this, Global warming is increasing! The temperature of Earth’s atmosphere has reached 2700 degrees F! About 750 billion tons of ice is melting globally every year. 24,000 tons of water is added to the world’s oceans every second. According to the AMS, extreme weather events are occurring by as much as 50 times. It is a way in which the Mother earth is punishing us!

Scientists predict that by 2050, 86% of the world’s oceans will be warmer and more acidic than anything in modern history! Let’s make this prediction wrong!

Thanks to John Mcconnell and Senator Gaylord Nelson, we celebrate Earth Day on 22nd April every year; more than 141 countries celebrate it simultaneously.

Let’s pledge to celebrate Earth day every day. Let’s help Mother Earth breathe freely. Let’s reduce our carbon footprint. Let’s reuse and recycle. Let’s buy eco-friendly products. Let’s eat less meat. LET’S GO GREEN!

The past is clear. The future is ours to create.

LET’S WORK HARD TODAY TO MAKE A BETTER FUTURE, TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN!
