International Biodiversity Day – 22 May
Biodiversity = Biological + Diversity.
Just like we like to have diverse (different) kinds of foods, flowers. flavours, mother Earth also likes variety. Biodiversity is the diverse life that can be found on Earth. It includes plants, animals, fungi and micro-organisms, on the land and in the oceans and rivers.
International Day Of Biodiversity is observed on 22nd May by the United Nations to increase awareness & educate people regarding the issues that can happen if we do not have biodiversity.
We should all be a part of the solution #fornature! If we all work together, respect all living forms, the Earth can have a space for everyone.
