Le shopping!

As a part of our Foreign language series, Disha Mukherjee of Delhi Public School, Sector 45, Gurgaon is writing articles and stories in French for our Curious Community every week!

This is story is recommended for Grades 6-7 students!


Riya et Raghav aiment(love) faire du shopping(to shop). Aujourd’hui(today), ils sont dans un centre commercial(shopping mall) parce qu’ils(because) veulent(want) acheter(to buy) des cadeaux(gifts) pour l’anniversaire(birthday) de leur(their) ami(friend). Ils se promènent (they walk) dans le centre commercial pour trouver(to find) le cadeau(gift) parfait(perfect) pour leur(their) ami, Sam.


Tout d’abord(first of all), ils vont dans une boutique(a clothes boutique). Riya achète une jupe(skirt) pour elle-même(herself) et Raghav achète une ceinture(belt). Ils n’ont rien trouvé(did not find anything) pour Sam parce qu’ils oublient(they forget) sa taille de chemise(shirt size).


Ensuite(then), ils vont à la librairie(bookstore). Là-bas(there), ils achètent de nombreux livres(a lot of books) pour eux-mêmes(themselves) mais(but), encore une fois(once again), ils ne peuvent pas trouver(could not find) de cadeau pour Sam car(because) ils oublient le nom(name) de son auteur favori(favourite author).


Enfin(finally), ils vont dans une boulangerie(bakery) pour acheter un gâteau pour Sam. Ils voient(they see) un délicieux gâteau au chocolat et l’achètent(buy it) pour lui(for him).


Après avoir font du shopping(after shopping), Rani et Raghav ont très faim(are very hungry), mais ils n’ont plus d’argent(do not have any money left) pour acheter de la nourriture(food)! Ils doivent(must) marcher(walk) à la maison, mais(but) ils sont très fatigués(are very tired). Ils décident(decide) de manger(to eat) une petite bouchée(a small bite) du gâteau de Sam. Cependant(however), c’est tellement(really) délicieux(delicious) qu’ils mangent le gâteau entier(entire)!

 
Ils ont réalisé(realised) qu’ils ont dépensé(spent) tout(all) leur(their) argent(money) pour leurs(their) choses(things) et maintenant(now), ils n’ont pas(do not have) de cadeau pour Sam!
