“Locked down, not Knocked Down”
Lockdown Lockdown,
Changes my smile into a frown,
But I think of the fun things,
Like our family meetings.
And the game nights,
Those were a few highlights,
Immersed myself in drawing,
Though I still missed swimming.
I miss the giggle-gaggle,
Resonating from my classroom,
And our books on the table,
But we connected on Zoom.
I look at the best thing,
Lockdown has done for me,
It might not sound fascinating,
Maybe its not supposed to be.
The vaccine will be a task,
It’ll keep getting better,
Just wear your mask,
Don’t be a fretter.
