“Start where you are”

Krisha Celly

It's a great pleasure to introduce the very inspiring “Krisha Celly”, Grade 12 student of DPS, Sector 45, Gurgaon. She is the youngest author and the first intern at Curious Times. She gave her valuable time to write news stories in just the way students would understand it. A student of humanities, Krisha wishes to take up psychology. She wrote on diverse news Indian and global topics like rare birds’ species, Niti Aayog’s report on the groundwater situation, ocean and river cleaning and the VR experience to view the famous “Mona Lisa”. There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who love ice cream and those who lie that they don’t. Here are some ice cool facts on ice cream, which will freeze your brain!

  • Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and cookie cream are the most popular flavours. Some strange but real flavours of ice cream are squid, lobster, cheetos and chilly!
  • Ice cream is generally made from cow’s milk, as well as from soy, cashew,or almond milk.
  • Ice cream is believed to have been invented around 500 BC in Persia (Iran).
  • Hawaii is home to an “ice cream bean”; fruit that tastes like vanilla ice cream
  • The waffle cone was invented by accident, when an ice-cream vendor ran out of cones and requested the waffle vendor to lend some waffles to serve ice cream.
  • Ice cream sundaes were actually made for Sundays.
