What better way to start off a healthy new year than by eating carrots!

The humble yet tasty and crunchy carrot is considered to be the perfect health food. You can eat it raw in salads, fried, steamed or even in sweets (the utterly delicious gajar ka halwa).
Why should you eat carrots?

  • Carrots do not have a lot of calories and are a good source of fibre, vitamins and minerals.
  • For instance, carrots are rich in beta carotene, which your body converts into vitamin A. This nutrient promotes good vision and is important for growth, development, and immune function!
  • Carrots can also help to reduce the risk of cancer, protect against heart disease and more.

So, go ahead and kick start a healthy new year with some crunchy carrots!
