MY EXPERIENCE AS AN ONLINE EDUCATOR!

Mute, unmute, zoom, connectivity… are words used mostly by people around the world in the year that passed by! 2020 was an year which made the world realize that education is possible online. It opened new horizons in my profession as a teacher which sums up to more than two decades. No teacher, on Earth, would have experienced as much tension and worries as in 2020 when the world went online especially in the field of education.

However, online classes won the hearts of parents and students in no time. In fact it became a platform that brought people together to share experiences and opinions. A sudden rise in the involvement of parents in their ward’s studies was witnessed. A ‘positive’ impact of lockdown!

Though teachers were criticized at times, the teacher community was lauded mostly for the effort taken in delivering classes online. This acted more than a booster! When homes became classrooms, learning became fun! The water or washroom breaks during the class hours, which included tasks like – show your pets, shake a leg for the move and freeze song video, laughter yoga – kept the kids active!

The fact that classes could be attended from any part of the world was wonderful. On the whole, it was a year packed with varied experiences!
