National Endangered Species Day – 21 May

National Endangered Species Day is observed on the third Friday of May every year. This day is observed to increase awareness about the importance of protecting endangered species.

Endangered species

Species that are at the risk of extinction (being over) are called ‘endangered’.
There are over 600 species, which are on the verge of getting extinct. It is our responsibility to raise our voice to protect them against illegal hunting & malpractices.
