5000 people wave the Indian flag with pride!

The Guinness Book of World Records has a new entry for the largest human image of a group of people waving an Indian flag.

In 2017, more than 4,000 people from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) made the largest human picture of a waving national flag.

India, on the other hand, has easily beaten the record. “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign honours the tricolour flag. More than 5,000 people came to the event and help set the record.

Key facts of the Indian flag human wave!

  • This project was a partnership between Chandigarh University and the National Institute of Design (NID) Foundation.
  • The Indian flag was created using human shapes.
  • The movement in the picture was put up in such a way that it gave the impression that the Indian flag was waving while it was being photographed.
  • The country is currently celebrating the 75th anniversary of when it became independent.
  • The Har Ghar Tiranga celebration will last for three days.
  • Six nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) were given Karam Yodha awards for their outstanding work.
  • Yogeshwar Dutt, an Indian wrestler who did amazing things at the Olympics, was given a Youth Icon Award.
