Licypriya Kangujam from India is one of them.

Licypriya is an 8-year-old girl from Manipur.
 	She recently spoke at the ongoing United Nations COP25 climate change summit in Madrid, Spain.
 	She urges world leaders to take responsibility and act fast as it is a real climate emergency.

How did Licypriya become involved in this movement?

She attended a disaster risk meeting when she was 6 years old. What she heard there and meeting people who have become homeless due to natural disasters motivated her to fight climate change.
 	Now, with her parents' support, she is speaking out about climate change, even though she has had to drop out of school while attending many environment awareness projects.

What is she asking the government to do to fight climate change?

A climate law to ensure zero carbon emissions.
 	To make climate change a compulsory school subject.
 	To ensure that each student needs to plant a certain number of trees to get their degrees.

Licypriya says she wants to be a space scientist when she grows up. Why? So that she can launch a rocket to the Moon or Mars to research how we can live there because our Earth will be dying soon.
