Amazon opens its largest office building in the world in Hyderabad

Amazon opens its largest office building in the world in HyderabadOn 21st August, e-commerce company Amazon formally opened its largest office campus in the world in Hyderabad. It is also the single largest building globally.

The new Hyderabad campus is the first office building that Amazon owns, outside of the US.

The office campus is spread over 9.5 acres.
 	It has an office space of 1.8 million sq ft which can seat 15,000 people.
 	4000 Amazon employees have already moved to the new office building from other offices.

Speaking at the inauguration, Amazon's Country Head Amit Agarwal said that Amazon currently has eight office spaces in Hyderabad.

Mr Aggarwal said that Amazon has 60,000 employees in India. One-third of them work in Hyderabad.
 	He also said that Hyderabad has the largest employee base and technology employee base outside of Amazon's main headquarters in Seattle, US.

Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood and Industries and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan also participated in the inauguration

Besides offices, Amazon has three fulfilment centres, two processing centres and 90 delivery stations in Telangana.
