At this film festival, you can watch movies alone on a Swedish island

Recommended for Preparatory Grades

The Goteborg Film Festival is an annual film festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is the largest film event in Scandinavia (covering Denmark, Norway, and Sweden in Europe).

This year, due to COVID-19, the festival is being held online. However, the festival is inviting one special cinema fan to spend seven days watching movies on an isolated island which only has a lighthouse!

The Isolated Cinema

The festival organisers are calling the experience ‘The Isolated Cinema‘. The chosen fan will be there on the island called Pater Noster from 30 January to 6 February 2021 watching all of the festival’s movies. There will be a soft bed and nice food but no cellphone, laptop or book.

For safety, another person will also be there on the island but they will be staying far away.

Anyone can apply for this film festival. You just have to send an email to say who you are and why you are interested. The last date to apply is 17 January.
