  • The bat face cuphea belongs to the family of cuphea plants.
  • It grows in Mexico and the US.
  • The bat face cuphea is a simple bushy plant that grows very easily anywhere with little water and sunlight.
  • Crimson in colour, the flowers are tube-shaped with red ear-like petals at the edges, and they are shaped like a rose. 
  • Birds, butterflies, and other insects are drawn to it by the abundance of nectar (the sweet liquid produced in flowers).
  • The leaves of this plant remain green throughout the year and the plant grows about 50 to 75 cm tall.
  • Bat face flowers are also known by a variety of other names, including bright-red flowering diablo and hot-pink tango, among others.
