Lego Bonsai Tree

What is bonsai?

Bonsai is a tree or shrub that has been kept very small by growing it in a little pot and cutting it in a special way. Bonsai are very small but look almost exactly like their full-sized selves. Bonsai is a Japanese art form, dating back over a thousand years.

Toy-maker Lego has launched a new Lego Botanical series in which you can build bonsai trees and beautiful flowers. They are aimed at adults looking for a way to relax.

The Lego Bonsai Tree model has 878 pieces and they can make two types of trees, evergreen and sakura (cherry blossom) trees. The leaves are in the shape of tiny pink frogs! You can also create new trees to reflect the changing seasons.

On the other hand, the Lego Flower Bouquet set has 756 pieces. It lets users build flowers like snapdragons, roses, poppies, asters, and daisies.
