The Economist has released the full-time ranking list of business schools for 2022.
What is the Economist?
The Economist is a British weekly newspaper which publishes content that focuses on current affairs, business, technology and more.
The business schools on the Economist list are ranked on the following measures:
- Personality development
- Professional Experience
- Faculty-student ratio and student-faculty diversity.
- New career opportunities.
- Potential to work.
Indian B-Schools in The Economist’s Top 100 MBA Ranking
From India, the Indian School of Business (ISB) has secured the 75th position on the list. Whilst, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has secured 99th position out of a total of 100 universities that were ranked by The Economist.
In the Economist’s MBA rankings list 2021, IIM-Ahmedabad was ranked 51 and ISB was at the 44th rank. IIM-Ahmedabad has declined from its position in the ranking index since 2019. On the other hand, ISB has jumped back after a huge fall in the rankings.
Positions of the MBA schools in the USA
The Economists list states that the top 10 business schools are from the USA.
- Harvard Business School is in the first place.
- Kellogg School of Management is in second place.
- Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania is in third place.
- HEC Paris Business School is ranked seventh on the list and is a non-US business school.
Adding to it there are many universities from the USA in the top 100 list issued by the Economist.
