The Union Health Ministry said that the daily growth rate of COVID-19 cases has declined to 3.24%.

Bengaluru and Gwalior are under 7-days lockdown.
 	Goa is enforcing a strict three-day lockdown from Friday.
 	Punjab cabinet will undergo tests for COVID-19 after one of the ministers tested positive.
 	Andhra Pradesh will open tourism destinations to visitors from 1 August.

Pharmaceutical company Zydus Cadila said it has started human clinical trials of its COVID-19 vaccine candidate ZyCoV-D.

What is the situation worldwide?

Over 13.3 million COVID-19 cases have been confirmed worldwide. Out of these, 7.37 million have recovered.
 	US pharmaceutical company Moderna says its vaccine, mRNA-1273, will enter the final testing phase from 27 July. Phase 1 of the tests had shown successful results.
 	More than one million people in the UK have given up smoking since the pandemic hit. Smokers have higher chances of being badly affected by COVID-19.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned the pandemic would get "worse and worse and worse" if the basics aren't followed.
