Dubai Expo 2020 – Yalla Habibi!

Recommended for Secondary Grades

Dubai Expo 2020 – Mashallah!

What’s the one place everyone loves to shop till they drop? From top brands to luxury items that one cannot even imagine. A place filled with love, warmth and kindness in every way possible. The next time our little munchkins decide to travel internationally, needless to say, our first stop shop is, “Dubai”. Hey, you little ones do know they accept our currency in the duty-free shops at the Dubai airports?

Hayyakum! – Welcome to the marvel of human engineering

You heard it first from us that architects are going to build a Martian city in the deserts of Dubai, but till that happens, we’ll have to settle with the ongoing Dubai Expo-2020. Celebrating the presence of more than a hundred countries, this event is to be seen to be believed. Spread over 6 months the expo will showcase events based on different themes. The central theme is, “Connecting minds, creating the future”.  You get a chance to ride the largest elevator, watch e-Trees that follow the sun and gaze at the stars in a dazzling drone show. There are tons of other events that showcase the marvel of human engineering.

Women’s Pavillion Programme

We love to showcase stories on women empowerment and re-enforce the emphasis on the key roles women have played to lay a strong foundation of any civilisation. Dubai Expo 2020 is no different, there is a dedicated Women’s Pavillion. The pavilion hosts events to understand the key positive impacts, worldwide initiatives and also provide a space to have meaningful conversations with “women” playing the central role.

To the future & beyond

So, what are little kids waiting for? Dubai Expo seems to be more exciting than anything else. Would you like to visit this expo and what would you like to see? Tell us in the comments section.
