Film crew back on Earth after shooting first film in space
Recommended for Preparatory Grades
Earlier, we read about a Russian film director and actress going to the International Space Station (ISS) to shoot the first film in space.
This film is a Russian film called “Vyzov” (meaning “The Challenge”). Actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko spent 12 days in the ISS shooting the first film in space. And now, they are back on Earth.
How did the film shoot on the ISS go?
As the name of the film says, they did face some challenges on the ISS. Last Friday, the ISS unexpectedly tilted after a glitch (problem) in its thrusters, pausing filming. Moreover, on the day they had arrived on the ISS (5 October), the Soyuz capsule’s automatic Kurs docking system failed. And the commander had to switch to manual control.
But everything else went well. The actor and director are now doing a 10-day rest period as they get used to being back on Earth.
What is the story of the first film in space?
The plot of the film seems to be about a doctor operating on a sick cosmonaut in space. However, we will know the details only later.
Are you looking forward to watching this film?
