First pig heart transplant: My heart beats oink!
My first reaction to this story was, so how will this person’s heart beat – oink! Wait! What’s the story? Ok, let’s backtrack a little bit. A 57-year old gentleman in the United States has successfully undergone the first pig heart transplant operation.
Hope
There’s always a story behind a story, the gentleman we are talking about is David Bennett. He was diagnosed with life-threatening heart disease. David’s survival was dependent on his last hope of this transplant. He was bedridden for almost six weeks. Well, at Curious Times we believe where there is hope there is a possibility. Now with a successful transplant, David will continue to live on. Although, he would be required to follow dietary restrictions and some sort of medical discipline.
