This fantastic service allows travellers to effortlessly navigate airports, pass through security checks, and reach their boarding gates, all with the help of their unique facial features. To access this extraordinary technology, passengers will need to provide their Aadhaar information, ensuring a safe and secure experience.
But that's not all! By March 2023, this remarkable program is expected to expand to other cities across the country. Soon, children from various parts of India will have the opportunity to use their smiling faces as their magical tickets to explore the world above the clouds.

The name given to this technological marvel is "Digi Yatra." It represents a groundbreaking effort to make air travel more convenient and enjoyable for everyone.
The Minister for Civil Aviation introduced this extraordinary system at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. It is available at one of the entry gates in Terminal 3, specific security check lanes, and two boarding gates.
To use this enchanting service, travellers must first download the Digi Yatra app on their mobile phones. Afterward, they need to register by providing an OTP (One-Time Password) received on their Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Then, they can upload their Aadhaar details and a captivating photo, making their boarding pass truly unique and special. Finally, they need to upload the boarding pass for their upcoming trip.
Once at the airport, after a delightful facial scan and the scanning of the QR code on their digital boarding pass, passengers can enter the terminal building. It's like stepping into a magical world where their picture becomes a key to unlocking new adventures.
At the security checkpoint, travellers will only need their faces to be scanned, making the journey smoother and more enjoyable. Of course, they must also present an electronic or paper boarding pass along with other forms of identification to ensure a safe and secure trip.
To safeguard the privacy of travellers, their personal details will be securely stored in a special wallet on their own phones. This means that their information remains safe and private throughout their entire journey.
