Significance of International Day of Families!

• In 1993, the United Nations General Assembly declared that the 15th of May of each year should be commemorated as “The International Day of Families.”
• This day presents an excellent opportunity to expand one’s knowledge of the social, economic, and demographic processes that have an effect on families.
• It also aims to raise awareness of issues related to families and promote awareness of those concerns.
• The COVID-19 pandemic started out as a public health emergency, but it went on to have effects on the economy, education, and nutrition that had never been seen before.
• COVID-19 made things worse for child care, balancing work and family life, gender equality, and other parts of family life.
• One can’t emphasise the importance of family during these times. The family unit is the most essential component of any society. This day is a great chance to learn more about the social, economic, and demographic trends that affect families, as well as the problems that families face.
