Microsoft will stop supporting Internet Explorer (IE) on June 15, 2022. In 1995, the first version of IE for Windows desktop computers came out.

- Since the first version of Internet Explorer came out in 1995, Microsoft has made 11 versions of it.
- The name “O’Hare” for the first version of Internet Explorer came from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
- IE was first made fun of in a movie called “The Browser You Loved to Hate,” which was made by Microsoft. The video poked fun at Internet Explorer’s problems and made light of them.
- The first few versions of IE were the first to let you download and install a browser for “free.”
- On our desktops, we all love having shortcut icons or tab icons for our favourite websites and apps. When Internet Explorer 5 came out, it was the first browser to support this feature.
