After defeating the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Gujarat Titans (GT) were awarded the title of winners of the IPL 2022.

Rajasthan Royals bat first!

• Before Yash Dayal’s fourth over, when Sai Kishore caught the first batsman for the Rajasthan Royals, Jaiswal had already hit two sixes and was moving through the innings.
• The score was 45-1 when the Rajasthan Royal’s powerplay was over.
• Because Buttler made sure that boundaries kept coming from one end, the Rajasthan Royals had a score of 71/2 at the halfway point.
• When Buttler was caught behind at the score of 39, Pandya got his second wicket. This meant that Buttler’s turn at bat was over. S
• Shimron Hetmyer and Ravi Ashwin were out of the game in quick succession, which put the Rajasthan Royals six runs behind.
• David Miller caught Ashwin at long-on when R. Sai Kishore threw the ball.
• After Rahul Tewatia caught the ball, Sai Kishore took his second wicket, and then it was Trent Boult’s turn to bat.
• Riyan Parag was taken out of the game by Mohammad Shami with the last ball of the Rajasthan Royals innings. In doing so, he uprooted the off-stump and only let 7 runs be scored, bringing the team’s total to 130/9.

Gujrat Titans chase 131!

• Wriddhiman Saha was out quickly when Prasidh Krishna broke through the opener’s defence and smashed down the stumps.
• Trent Boult raised the stakes by bowling a brilliant over with the new ball that didn’t let a single run scored.
• Matthew Wade hit the first six of the innings, but Boult got his first wicket when the left-handed batter was caught inside the circle. After that, Boult took the last six wickets of the innings.
• The Gujarat Titans had a score of 31/2 after six overs, thanks to a four hit by Shubman Gill at the end of the powerplay.
• As the third-wicket partnership reached 50 runs, Pandya changed gears and hit Ashwin for two fours and a six.
• Before David Miller went in, Gujarat Titans had 97 runs and 3 wickets.
• As Gujarat Titans reached the goal with 11 balls to spare, Gill, who was essentially the innings’ anchor at the other end, won the IPL 2022 season in spectacular fashion.
