ISRO to send the half-humanoid robot to spaceA while ago, we read about Russia's humanoid robot.

Now, let's read about the half-humanoid robot which the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has developed.

ISRO has named the 'lady' robot 'Vyommitra' (or Vyonmamitra) and it will go to space as part of the Gaganyaan project.

The robot was unveiled at the inaugural session of the conference, 'Human Spaceflight and Exploration – Present Challenges and Future Trend.'
 	Vyommitra can be a 'buddy' to other astronauts who can talk, recognise and respond to their queries.
 	It does not have legs, and can only bend sideways and forward.
 	It can also carry out certain experiments and will remain in constant touch with the ISRO command centre.

Additionally, ISRO also announced about its two unmanned missions in December 2020 and June 2021. ISRO also exhibited the prototypes of spacesuits that will be used for the Gaganyaan mission.
