  • It is best to visit Pelling from September to May. During the winter it gets very cold, but the town looks beautiful under the snow.
  • Summers are pleasant and perfect for sightseeing and trekking. But it’s better not to visit Pelling during the monsoon season because it rains very heavily.
  • Mountains and Waterfalls
  • The best thing to do in Pelling is to view the Himalayas, and Kanchenjunga mountains and look at the fantastic waterfalls. Some of the beautiful waterfalls in and around Pelling are:
    • Kanchenjunga Falls
    • Rimbi Waterfalls
    • Changey Waterfall
    • Sangay Waterfall
  • Other Attractions
    • Khecheopalri Lake is also a good spot for bird-watching.
    • Singshore Bridge is so much fun to walk on.
  • Spot the Himalayan Tahr, black bear, red panda and more animals at the Khangchendzonga National Park.

Culture of Pelling, Sikkim

  • The locals or original people of Pelling are called Limboo. Most of them are into farming and growing cardamom, millet, maize etc.
  • Pelling also has many wonderful monasteries, such as the Pemayangtse Gompa and Dubdi Monastery.
