Roberto García Roa wins British Ecological Society photography competition 2019Recently, we read about the Wildlife Photographer of the Year award.

Now, the winners of the British Ecological Society photography competition 2019 have been announced.

Many students and ecologists submitted beautiful photographs of the natural world. Some of the winners are:

The overall winner was an image of a Malagasy tree boa snake wrapped around a branch of a tree, taken by Roberto García Roa.

Other photographs include three-toed sloth crawling across the road, a group of flamingos near a lake and many more.
 	The judging panel included ecologists and award-winning wildlife photographers.
 	According to them, the pictures explore the natural diversity and capture flora and fauna from around the world.

The images will be showcased in a free exhibition in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in February 2020.

The British Ecological Society is a learned society in the field of ecology that was founded in 1913. It is the oldest ecological society in the world.
