Robot dog uses artificial intelligence to sense how people are feelings

A robot dog

Many of us enjoy having pets, like cats, dogs or birds. Today, technology companies are also creating “robotic pets” for people.

One of these companies is called Koda. It aims to help people live better lives with robotic companions (friends).

However, Koda’s robot dog is different from others. Launched very recently, this dog has artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Artificial intelligence means a type of machine that can solve problems like humans, using natural intelligence.

This technology helps the Koda robot dog to sense human emotions. This means it can sense when its owner is sad, happy or excited. Over time, the AI will also help it find ways to respond to its owners, just like the real “man’s best friend”.

The Koda dog

This robot dog can be a companion, or to help blind people or to be guard dogs. Koda says it will cost between US$45,000-$55,000.
