South Africa cricket celebrates 30-years with India

South Africa celebrates 30-years anniversary of its first test match against India.

Are you interested in cricket? Do you like to play cricket?

Did you know, South Africa was banished from world cricket for 21 years from 1970 to 1991. It was because the black players in the country were discriminated against on the basis of their colour.

Team South Africa played its first international match against India on 10th November 1991. At that time, Keppler Wessels was the captain of South Africa. The first test match ended in a draw.

India Vs South Africa Tournament

Team India’s last tour of South Africa in 2018 ended with 2-1, in favour of Team South Africa.

This year, India is on its South Africa tour from 26th December to 23rd January under the captaincy of Virat KohliRahul Dravid will be the coach for Team India in this tournament.

There will be test matches between India and South Africa followed by the ODI matches. It is a good chance for Team India to book the win for themselves.

Cricket South Africa’s 30 years Anniversary

Cricket South Africa will celebrate 30 years of cricketing ties with India.  This will happen during the second test match between India and South Africa at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg next year.

The 30 years anniversary will be marked with the recognition and inclusion of some iconic moments of both the teams of India and South Africa.

South Africa tour to be called off

If the COVID-19 situation worsens in South Africa, the tournament may be called off in between. South African government has assured the BCCI that even if the borders will be closed, Team India would be allowed to fly back home.
