The Supreme Court has ordered state governments and the Indian Railways not to charge bus or train fare from migrants. They should also provide shelter, food and water.

There have been many cases of migrants not getting any food or water during their journeys, which has also led to deaths.

India is now the ninth-worst affected country in the world.
 	India announced that it will begin testing of a vaccine in October.
 	Haryana has sealed its border with Delhi after a rise in cases, especially in the border areas.
 	Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has called for an extended lockdown.
 	As migrants continued to return to their homes, the Indian Railways has appealed to people not to travel on these trains if they are are not well.
 	Two floors of the Parliament Annexe (attached) building have been sealed after an officer tested positive for COVID-19.

What is the situation worldwide?

There are over 5.8 million cases worldwide, out of which 2.4 million have recovered.
 	Brazil's cases continue to climb. Brazil president Jair Bolsonaro is coming under severe criticism.
 	The World Health Organization says we must be prepared for new outbreaks as lockdowns have not stopped the virus.
 	Sports and games will resume in Sweden from 14 June.
 	Spain, Turkey, France, Japan and more countries are reopening their economy partially.
 	The United Nations has delayed the COP26 climate change summit to 2021. This was scheduled to be held in the UK this year.
