The new LG washing machine doesn’t need water for washing.

Have you ever seen a washing machine operate without water?  That sounds weird, right?

Of course, a washing machine can’t operate without water. However, it can happen now. How?

LG Electronics has launched a new washing machine that will not need water for washing clothes. It will use carbon dioxide to wash clothes.

Recently, the Ministry of Trade and Industry permitted the company to conduct a trial of this carbon dioxide washing machine. It is supposed to be a giant step towards the fast development of technology.

Working of the ‘carbon dioxide washing machine’

This new washing machine turns carbon dioxide from a gas state to a liquid state by refrigerating and compressing it. And then it uses it in place of water.

Once the process of washing is finished, the machine turns the liquid carbon dioxide into gas and then uses it for the next round of washing.

Moreover, the machine doesn’t discharge water and gas. Therefore, it makes the technology more environmentally friendly.

The company LG plans to install this machine at their research lab and to conduct trials on it.
