Watch a video: Elephant climbs over fence

Recommended for Foundational Grades

We know that the elephant, the world’s largest land animal, is one of the world’s most intelligent animals. They can use tools, show kindness, remember incidents and even understand human actions. However, this new video might be unusual.

In a video that is going viral on Twitter, an elephant was seen trying to climb over an iron fence in Karnataka. While this is amazing in itself, what is amazing is that the elephant could actually do it!

A government officer named Supriya Sahu shared the video on Twitter and wrote “Speechless” along with it.

The short video is 27 seconds long. Someone captured it on 16 November 2021 at the Nagarahole Tiger Reserve in Mysuru, Karnataka. The elephant is believed to have been coming back to the reserve after stealing crops from nearby farms. So, the fence is supposed to separate the farms from the reserve, but it did not stop the elephant.

Till now, the video has been watched almost 3 lakh times and has received over 20 thousand likes too.

Some people found the video funny. But others also said that it is very said that humans have taken away all the places where animals live. So now, animals have to do this.

What do you think?
