The elephant, the biggest animal on land, is known for being a gentle giant. These animals are known to care for their families and even show sadness when bad things happen.

Earlier, this week, a woman named Lek Chailert shared a video on Instagram of three elephants at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand. The video shows that there is some food on the ground and one of the elephants is eating. Another elephant named Chana also wants to eat but she cannot leave the third elephant, Ploy Thong. Ploy is blind and so it would be hard for her to find the food.

So, what Chana does is that she walks backwards, facing Ploy. Then, because elephants can hear very well, Ploy moves in Chana’s direction, after hearing her walk.

Lek, the one who put up the video, is the founder of this elephant park. She says the video shows how the elephants take care of each other. And this is a lesson for us all.
