The World Happiness Report 2022 is released on Friday before the annual International Day of Happiness. Finland is the happiest country in the world.
What is World Happiness Report?
World Happiness Report is published by the United Nations. It contains articles and rankings of national happiness.
Rankings of nations according to the UN happiness report
- The happiness report ranks 150 countries on certain factors of the personal sense of well-being, levels of GDP and life expectancy.
- Denmark is the second happiest nation in the world.
- Iceland is the third nation and Switzerland is the fourth happiest nation in the world.
- The other countries in the top 10 list include the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, Israel and New Zealand. India raised to 136th rank in the happiness report.
- Afghanistan is the unhappiest nation in the world.
- The year 2022 marks the 10th anniversary of the World Happiness Report.
