Yadukrishnan Presheed hitchhikes across Russia.

Do you know what is hitch-hiking? It is quite an interesting thing to do.

What is hitch hiking?

Hitch hiking means travelling by taking lifts in passing vehicles.

Travelling on passing vehicles! Weird or interesting? Tell us in the comments below.

The news is interesting that  24 years old Yadukrishnan Presheed from Palarivattom has travelled across Russia by hitch-hiking. The adventure lasted for 27 days.

Travel Route

The Kochi youngster travelled from Tuapse along the western coast of Russia on the Black Sea to Vladivostok on the easter coast near the Sea of Japan.

The young lad wanted to visit Russia since 2018 when he spent a month watching football world cup games and explored the country with his savings. Presheed shared that reading Sanskrit at a Buddhist monastery in East Russia is one of the best moments of his trip.

He said that, earlier, he had visited with a friend and they went on cycles. He recalls that they visited Moscow, St Petersburg, Kaliningrad and other places, and they stayed in hostels.

His travel stories

Yadukrishnan Presheed is publishing the stories from his trip every week in his newsletter. Moreover, he has a passion to learn new languages.

After quitting  IIT in 2019, he started learning Russian. He did so in order to attain the Russian government’s scholarship program. He applied for a scholarship in journalism and won it. Isn’t it a big achievement?

Apart from your academic learning, you should give time to your passion as well. You should learn new things which aren’t written in the textbooks you read. So, you little souls, stay curious about new things and learn them!
