Zunpulse helps 1 lakh households to save electricity.

Zunpulse is a startup, founded by IIT Kharagpur graduates — Pranesh Chaudhary and Sushant Sachan.

Along with it, the founders established ZunRoof Solar Systems which provide solar energy and smart energy solutions.

The idea for the startup

Pranesh Chaudhary and Sushant Sachan were long time friends and studied in the IIT together. In 2016, the two friends came together and started a new service called Zunpulse.

According to the founders, electricity is an important sector and households should not worry about electricity supply and its consumption. They believe that when households have an ample supply of electricity, they have to ensure that it is used in the right way.

Therefore, Zunpulse came into existence. They monitored the smart electrical appliances. Pranesh Chaudhary suggested a couple of smart appliances which operate on the concepts of machine learning. In this way, electricity could be saved.

Founders’ Words

The founders say that if the users choose smart energy monitors, smart fans and smart plugs for geysers and air conditioners, there will be a reduction of 40% to 50% in the electricity bills.

The company has divided smart appliances into four categories. All of them operate through the Zunpulse app and also require a regular internet connection.

Smart appliances by Zunpulse include:

  1. Geysers
  2. Air conditioners
  3. Smart bulbs
  4. Lights
  5. Pin plugs
