My Expressions

Oh, Corona!

Look around, what has changed?

The coronavirus lockdown, very strangely, has proved to be a blessing in disguise for many. While there has been a significant shift in our routines, the meme culture does not seem to get enough with popularising ‘work from home’ culture. Courtesy this, Zoom App has now become the most preferred app amid the lockdown. However, the increasing concerns about the pandemic reaching its third stage in our country are alarming and appalling.

This is how I think of the situation…

Personally, if I do not look at the news for two days in a row, I can actually reach a state of peace of mind; peace from within and peace from without.

But very soon, this state of ecstasy is interrupted by a friend who has to text every person, every other hour- about the statistics.

The quality of family time has extended from meal hours to countless board games and many other entertaining activities.

Amidst the ever-increasing cases in India, the brighter side is that nature is healing. Slowly but gradually-a cool breeze blows and contrary to the self-isolation prevailing among humanity, stars have come out in entire constellations instead of the boring, isolated versions of themselves.

A strange dilemma!

On the whole, the ‘MythBusters’ are performing their duties responsibly on social media. We all direly wish this period to come to an end.

Though the coronavirus has shown some wonderful aspects of humans in the unity we have shown, a very beautiful side of nature as well, the world needs our help to cure. And the only way of helping, ironically, is by staying indoors and away from our loved ones.

After all, we do want to live and tell future generations about a time when the entire world turned topsy-turvy.

All we can do for now is to hope and pray- for ourselves, for the healthcare workers, and for the entire world; and stay prepared….. prepared for whatever comes next.
