Self-care is an activity to take care of our mental, physical and emotional health. September is recognized as the self-care awareness month to remind ourselves the importance of self-care.

With our busy schedules, we must take some personal time for self-care. Sometimes, we get too much involved in our work that we forget to have personal time, and work related stress could result in depression, anxiety and other mental, physical and emotional health related problems. Moreover, in many instances, people don’t pursue their passion because of societal judgement.

Self-care reminds us that we all must take some time to find our hidden talent and do whatever we like. Taking some time for ourselves remind us that our needs are important. It encourages us to maintain a good relationship with ourselves and reduces depression, anxiety and stress.

Self-care is about loving yourself despite you’re fat or thin or have a dark or fair complexion. You must do what your heart and soul say because YOU MATTER!
