‘MERA SUNDAY, CRICKET KE LIYE’
Karthika Jithesh, 10th Grader from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kannur, is running a series of poems on cricket and cricketers every Sunday with us. We are very sure, you all will enjoy and relate to the players and Karthika!
A girl with a knack,
Which rose within a snatch.
One who played for the nation,
Smashing the ball out of the fence;
Enjoying playing her shots,
Making us think back to legends.
Got herself expertise in no time.
Wearing the jersey at a very young age;
Made her excel as an opener.
Scoring runs, for the team.
Procuring the field on her name;
Exhibiting her feat onto this world.
I praise her because she can reach there;
Where the legends stood.
Her dexterity will go on,
Making our country proud.
Hitting the ball more harder,
And there she is,
A name which will take on our nation;
