The one I feed
This is a student-submitted poem with extracts from “Two wolves” by Aung Thang.
A fight going on inside me
One evil wolf, other as good as can be
Evil. Anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed
Coming off the bad breed
Arrogance, self-pity, guilt resentment
From what the evil side lent
Lies, false pride, inferiority
And of course superiority
And who could forget ego
Which started all the blow
Good. Empathy, generosity, truth, compassion
And benevolence, the chosen one
Kindness, joy, peace humility
Love, hope, serenity
Which one will win?
The one I feed..
