The Ravaged World – Poem On Peace
Awoke to the stench nailing her,
Sights bloodshot and murky.
Desired to be clad in hands that are mushy,
Rather ensued on the bruised terrene.
She rouses and vetted,
To glimpse the world shredded,
Ashes upon ashes.
Welkins no longer azure,
Tears of the blue existed in dried splashes.
The scream of agonizing detaches,
Clobbering in her senses.
Abruptly a raven haze dispatches,
Abaft she deemed it advancing.
Gush of dust encasing,
Skinless grasp creeping onto her,
Shallow talons carving deep into her.
With a hurting call she questioned,
Oh why the world is ravaged?
With a murmur resembling cracking bones,
Humans were its retort.
Societies’ averse sentiments and assort,
Plague of narrow minds,
The greed disease blinds.
Hankering power and dominance,
Thrones endorsed injustice and barbarity into prominence.
Envy’s green now nation’s dye,
Bid peace and harmony goodbye.
