Thunderstorms
As I gaze out the glass window
A deep feeling of resemblance sets in my heart
The lightning striking the lifeless sky
Thunderstorms seem like exquisite art.
It’s anger, hiding behind the facade of clouds
Flashing across the sky, are the sparkles of thunder.
Being so scary and yet so beautiful
Is it screaming with pain? I wonder.
Raindrops fall down, or are they tears?
Contaminating it’s heart is fury or agony?
It’s emotions seem indecipherable to me
Amidst the reigning cacophony.
The next morning, when I woke up
All I could see were the bright sun rays
Gone were the glitters and shine
Gone was it’s serene embrace.
I sat, gazing out the window
While everyone danced, twirling beneath the tree shade
Missing the warmth of the thunderstorm
Beside the window, gazing at the sky, I remained.
