Visite d’une pâtisserie française

As part of our Foreign language series, Disha Mukherjee of Delhi Public School, Sector 45, Gurgaon is writing articles and stories in French for our Curious Community every week!

This is story is recommended for Grades 7 and upwards!


Un jour, après avoir fait beaucoup de shopping(doing a lot of shopping), je me suis senti extrêmement fatiguée (felt extremely tired) et j’ai eu très faim(hungry). J’ai voulu manger (wanted to eat) quelque chose de sucré(sugar)! Soudain, j’ai vu l’enseigne(signboard) d’une pâtisserie française(french pastry shop) appelée «Bon appétit». Mes amis m’ont dit que c’est l’une des meilleures pâtisseries de la Ville!


L’arôme(aroma) des gâteaux et des pâtisseries fraîchement(freshly)  cuites au four(baked) a été très bon et appétissant(appetizing), alors(so) j’ai décidé de prendre (decided to take) mon déjeuner(lunch) ici(here). 


J’ai vu(I saw) de nombreuses(many) pâtisseries (pastries) comme(like) des croissants, des éclairs, des macarons, du mille feuille, du gâteau d’opéra, de la tarte tatin, des madeleines, des petits fours, etc. J’ai acheté mon préféré (my favourite)- un croissant, des macarons et un éclair au chocolat.Ils ont été absolument(absolutely) délicieux(delicious)!

J’ai savouré(savoured) chaque(every) bouchée(bite). Je pense(think) que(that) c’est la meilleure(the best) pâtisserie du monde(of the world).

J’ai acheté des madeleines pour ma mère et ma sœur pour leur(their) thé du soir(evening tea) et je suis partie (left) avec(with) un sourire(a smile) et un estomac heureux(a happy stomach)!
