From the diary of a teenager…
Sometimes I wonder who am I?
A person who wants to be the apple of every eye?
I am the eighth wonder of the world,
That’s how I find myself.
Trying to find the answer, I wonder,
Should I always be the first to surrender?
I keep on thinking, receiving no answer from myself
I am the eighth wonder of the world, That’s how I find myself.
I hear the applause and cheer,
Neglecting the gloomy fear.
I know people want to humiliate me and they really do,
But it’s simply because I am the best and they know this too.
I feel the world easily,
But still, it’s me who wins wheezily.
I touch the glamorous world with hesitation and worry about the future,
And then I think: the world is a wound and I am a suture.
Again I know I am the eighth wonder of the world,
That’s how I find myself.
I dream water to catch fire someday,
And that this fire is extinguished by some hay.
With an effort to be optimistic,
I have a look at the mirror to see a pretty me,
After all, I’m the eighth wonder of the world,
And EVERYONE HAS TO AGREE!
