Arvind Kejriwal takes oath as Delhi Chief Minister

Arvind Kejriwal takes oath as Delhi Chief MinisterOn Sunday, Arvind Kejriwal was sworn in as the Chief Minister (CM) of Delhi for the third time.

His party, the Aam Admi Party (AAP) won a resounding victory in the recent Delhi Legislative Assembly elections.

AAP won 62 seats out of 70, with over 53% of the total votes while BJP won 8 seats.
 	The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal, administered the oath.
 	Six ministers, namely, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Rajendra Gautam were also sworn in.
 	A number of people from different walks of life, including safai karmacharis, students, teachers, doctors, and bus marshals — called Delhi ke Nirmata, shared the stage with the CM at the ceremony.
 	The ceremony was held at Ramlila Maidan, outside the Red Fort and was attended by huge crowds.
 	In his speech, Mr Kejriwal spoke about working towards cooperation between the centre and the union territory for promoting development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was invited to the ceremony but could not attend, congratulated Mr Kejriwal on Twitter.
