Cricket is India’s most popular sport. But it seems not only humans but animals play it too.
A video has recently gone viral on social media. It shows an elephant playing cricket, just like a human!
In the 30-second video below, you can see the elephant playing cricket with a group of men in a village. The elephant holds the bat with his trunk and hits the ball with it.
This video has been seen over 6 lakh times and liked by many people. Even Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, as well as English cricketer Michael Vaughan, shared the video. Isn’t it wonderful to know that animals play too.
However, some people also feel that this is cruelty towards animals. Elephants don’t naturally do things like this. So, they feel that it must have been punished many times in order to learn how to “play”.
