Roger Federer has become the oldest man to reach the third round at Wimbledon in 46 years. 39-year-old Federer beat Frenchman Richard Gasquet to reach the next round.

In women's singles, Serena Williams had to drop out in the first round due to an ankle injury.

In mixed doubles, India's Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna beat Ramkumar Ramanathan and Ankita Raina in the first round.

Euro 2020

In the round of 8, Switzerland face Spain tonight, while Belgium face Italy. Tomorrow, it is Czech Republic versus Denmark and Ukraine versus England.

Indian sprinter Dutee Chand, javelin thrower Annu Rani and 400m hurdler MP Jabir have qualified for the Tokyo Olympics through world rankings. However, the Japanese government has warned that the games could be held behind closed doors, as virus cases rise in Tokyo.
