This Italian artist’s latest sculpture is invisibleWe all like art, such as paintings and sculptures (statues). Some of them are very valuable and fetch a lot of money.

Salvatore Garau is an Italian artist. He has managed to his most recent sculpture for about US$18,000 (a little more than  ₹13 lakhs). But what is amazing about this is that the sculpture is completely invisible!

The sculpture is title "lo Sono" (Italian for "I am"). There is literally nothing to see but it comes with a certificate signed and stamped by the artist.

This is not Garau's first such invisible "art". In February 2021, he also presented another invisible piece entitled "Buddha in Contemplation" in Milan, Italy (video below). The only thing to show it was there, was a square marked in chalk.

Garau says that his art is not just "nothing," but a vacuum.

While this story is incredible, stories like this in modern art is not entirely unusual. For example, an artist named Barnett Newman sold a painting called "Onement Vi" for US$43.8. The painting is a blue colour canvas with a white stripe present in the middle.
