COVID-19: Unvaccinated people under lockdown in Austria

India reported 10,229 COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours. This is the lowest in 523 days. The national COVID-19 recovery rate was also recorded at 98.26%, the highest since March 2020.

The central government said that schools have reopened for all students in at least 22 states and union territories.

On 15 November, India began allowing fully vaccinated foreign tourists to enter the country on regular commercial flights. However, the tourists must be fully vaccinated and follow all COVID-19 rules.

Mizoram is planning to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to Myanmar refugees who have come to the state from Myanmar after its military coup this year. Official records say that about 12,000 people of Myanmar are currently in Mizoram.

More than seven billion doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered, in at least 197 countries worldwide.

Austria (in Europe) is putting unvaccinated people under lockdown from 15 to 24 November 2021. People who haven’t been vaccinated will only be able to leave their homes to work, study, for medical reasons, buy groceries, or get some fresh air. This move is aimed at increasing the low COVID-19 vaccination rates in the country.

China is fighting its biggest COVID-19 outbreak caused by the highly infectious Delta variant.

Israel said that they will start vaccination for children aged five to 11 soon,

Eight big cats at the St. Louis Zoo in the US have tested positive for coronavirus. They include two African lions, two snow leopards, an Amur tiger, a puma and two jaguars.
